Objectives
At the conclusion of the program, participants will be able to:
1. Know the definition and elements of cultural responsiveness and its relevance in mental health services.
2. Know the difference between culturally responsive engagement and traditional therapeutic processing.
3. Identify at least two ways that the current racial unrest in the United States may have impact on engaging African American clients and identify techniques to address each.
