Dr. Hopewell is an experienced and highly accomplished psychologist with a distinguished career of 27 years in military service. As a senior Clinical Neuropsychologist, he played a vital role on duty in providing specialized care to service members during the Global War on Terror. Dr. Hopewell directed neuropsychological services at renowned medical centers, including Moncrief Army Hospital, Brooke Army Medical Center, Baylor Scott & White Dallas, and played a pivotal role in establishing the Traumatic Brain Injury service at Landstuhl Army Regional Medical Center..
During his deployment to Iraq, Dr. Hopewell conducted groundbreaking research on military brain injuries, leading to the first-ever Army, Prescribing Psychologist serving in a combat theater. His exceptional contributions earned him the Bronze Star Medal for his original research and the Meritorious Service Award for heroism during the Nidal Hasan terror attack at Ft. Hood. He holds multiple degrees in Psychology, including a Bachelor of Science and language minor from Texas A&M University, a Master's and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Texas, and a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Psychopharmacology from the California School of Professional Psychology/Alliant University. Additionally, he possesses four foreign language certifications and continues to pursue a major in Foreign Languages. Dr. Hopewell has been recognized as a Fellow of the American Psychological Association and is a previous President of the Texas Psychological Association.
